About
Dcloud is an instrumental duo — LUMIKO IMAI on composition and voice, sanericci on production and remix. We work from a studio in Kumano, Mie, Japan.
The air moving through a place, the presence of water, the way light shifts. We listen for what exists only there, and turn it into sound that slows your breathing. An inn, a shrine, a temple school, a valley of ripening rice — every place we have written for has had music made for it alone.

Two concept albums for Roka, a ryokan on the island of Naoshima in the Seto Inland Sea. Alongside the guest floors, we scored the restaurant EN and the café bar moya.
Oe, Fukuchiyama, Kyoto
A theme song, “motoise”, made from the sacred air and unseen vibration of a shrine wrapped in deep forest. LUMIKO IMAI wrote the words and sings them.
Yakuno, Fukuchiyama, Kyoto
A theme song, “seina”, for a rice brand grown on clear spring water in the mountains. It follows, note by note, the way water is born and begins to flow.
Order
Inns, shops, shrines and temples, places of learning, working fields, films. We write music from scratch for that place alone. Not a licence on an existing track, but an original built around the space and the way time moves through it. From a short loop to a long piece that plays all day.
We ask about the place, the purpose and the hours it will play. Photographs or footage help.
We agree on a direction and send a short demo. This is where we tune the texture.
Full production. Length, edits and looping are decided together.
Delivery. The scope of use is set out in writing beforehand.
